Biosketch

Alexandre Vercouter received a Master degree in Chemistry from the Université de Mons in 2017. His Master thesis was about the theoretical characterization of the lattice thermal conductivity of organic semiconductors. His work was rewarded by the prize of the Société Royale de Chimie (SRC) in 2017. The same year, he was awarded a research grant from the Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique (FNRS) and started a thesis under the supervision of Profs Jérôme Cornil and David Beljonne in the Université de Mons. His research topic is: “Theoretical Characterization of Thermoelectric Properties in Organic Semiconductors”. The main goal of this study is to provide structure-property relationships, currently missing, for the parameters ruling the energy conversion efficiency of promising thermoelectric materials.
