Biosketch

Quentin Duez received a Master degree in Chemistry from the Université de Mons in 2016. During his Master Thesis, he studied the secondary structure of gaseous polylactide ions by Ion Mobility Mass Spectrometry (IMMS) and Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations. He then started a PhD thesis under the joint supervision of Prof. Pascal Gerbaux and Prof. Jérôme Cornil. His research aims at understanding the relation between the primary structure of synthetic polymers and their secondary structure as ions in the gas phase using both IMMS and MD, as well as to probe the influence of instrumental and experimental conditions on the ion 3D structure.
