Biosketch

Sarajit Naskar obtained a Master’s degree of Science in chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology – Kanpur (IITK, INDIA) in 2017.  His Master’s thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sandeep Verma was dedicated to a “Bio-inspired C3 symmetric molecule As Nano-motor for drug delivery”.

He then moved to the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, and started research on asymmetric porphyrin synthesis and artificial photosynthesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sabyasachi Sarkar. In October 2019, he moved to the Indian Institute of Technology – Guwahati to work on the “Development of organogelator based on cheap and environment friendly compounds for oil-water separation” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Uttam Manna.

In October 2021, he embarked in a joint PhD degree between the University of Mons (UMONS, Belgium) and Queensland University of Technology (QUT, Australia). His doctoral research topic is mainly focused on the “Synthesis and characterization of the sequence-defined single chain nanoparticles using ion mobility mass spectrometry and molecular dynamics.” At UMONS he is working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Pascal Gerbaux and Prof. Dr. Jérôme Cornil whereas Prof. Dr. Christopher Barner-Kowollik and Prof. Dr. Stephen Blanksby supervise his activities in QUT
